BREAKING: Court Reporters Are Using Witchcraft To Document Court Proceedings

What the hell did I just watch? I am so confused. Lisa is the smartest woman in the world. I am not sure whether a “stenotype machine” is outdated caveman technology or the greatest technological advancement of the last century.

Court reporters type with the help of a stenotype (and PEDs) at 300 words per minute. I tested my typing skills (shout out Mavis Beacon) to see how I compared and the test threw the most wild paragraph at me about the extinction of tigers while I was taunted by a power walking woman. She doesn’t even have AirPods.

I would love to up my WPM game, so did a bit of perusing on Facebook Marketplace for my very own Stenotype. I came across this crusty, vintage 1927 Stenotype Master Model 4 Stenograph with original case and paper!
