NFL DFS Value Plays - Week 13

QB

Mitchell Trubisky $6,900

Why not? Trubisky had a nice showing in his first game back as the Bears QB - putting up 21 fantasy points. The matchup is nice this week AND we know Trubisky has that sweet, sweet QB rushing TD upside.

Kirk Cousins $7,300

If you are searching for a mid-price QB who has been putting up consistent numbers as of late, look no further than the human Birkenstock, Kirk Cousins. Cousins has put up an 11/1 TD to INT ratio over his last 4 games and is averaging over 20 FPPG during that period. That is good enough to hit 3x value this week.

RB

Austin Ekeler $7,000

Last week, Ekeler saw insane usage in his first game back from injury - leading the chargers in carries AND receptions with 25 total touches. While Kalen Ballage returns from injury this week, I still expect Ekeler to put up Top 5 RB numbers at a great pricepoint:

David Montgomery $6,200

The volume has been there all season (11th in RB carries per game) for Montgomery, we have just been waiting for him to produce. Last week, he finally realized his fantasy potential putting up 143 total yards and a TD on 16 touches. Montgomery should be a solid RB2 play during the rest of the season, but I particularly love him this week vs a bottom-of-the-barrel Lions defense.

Devontae Booker $6,000

When the player with the third most carries in the NFL is ruled out with an injury, you typically look to who backup as an insta-start in your DFS lineup. Luckily for us, Booker has proven he can be efficient when given the opportunities - putting up 5.5 YPC and 4 TD on just 59 touches this year,

Myles Gaskin $5,500

I have been extremely high on Myles Gaskin the entire year and have been anxiously anticipating his return from injury. Gaskin was averaging 18+ touches per game before doing on the IR with 12 FPPG. You couldnt ask for a better situation for him to walk back into, as the rest of the Miami backfield is banged up and unlikely to play.

WR

Brandin Cooks $6.500

Will Fuller was having a monster 2020 season through the first 12 weeks of the season, showing that he was one of the better deep threats in the NFL. Unfortunately for Houston and Deshaun Watson, he was suspended for 6 games this week for violating the NFLs PED policy. There are not a ton of options to step up to the WR1 role in Houston, so I am expecting Watson to heavily rely on veteran WR Brandin Cooks to fill the Fuller void.

Deebo Samuel $6,000

The most important part of evaluating backup QBs for DFS isn’t their performance under center, but identifying who their favorite targets might be. Nick Mullens seems to love Deebo and we know the talent is there.

Allen Robinson $6,900

Allen Robinson is a Top 5 WR in the NFL in terms of pure talent, but his fantasy value was evaporated during Nick Foles tenure under center for Chicago. With Trubisky back, I expect improved value - as shown last week when Robinson put up 11 catches on 13 targets for 133 yards. The Trubisky > Robinson connection is real.
